CE Born in Brooklyn, but raised in New Jersey, Ricky Jay (Potash), a protegee of Dai Vernon has become known as a cardician, sleight of hand expert and an actor on both stage and screen. Today, he is widely recognized as one of the greatest sleight of hand performers living and as an expert on unusual performers and on the methods of the con artist.

As an author, Ricky has produced several works of great interest to both the magic community and the Lay public. In 1977 he released "The Magic, Magic Book." In 1990, The American Antiquarian Society published "Many Mysteries Unraveled." He is likely best known for the hard to find "Cards as Weapons" and for "Learned Pigs and Fireproof Women." In addition, he has authored "Dice: Deception, Fate, and Rotten Luck," "Jay's Journal of Anomolies," and "Extraordinary Exhibitions."
