We first learned of the passing of magician Harvey Cohen from David Blaine's Twitter feed yesterday, but refrained from posting until we could gather additional information to share with our readers.

David Blaine's original tweet was: One of my biggest inspirations in magic passed away today. Harvey Cohen. I am devastated.

He later met with Bill Kalush to share their memories of the man (as seen in the photo above.)

Bill Kalush posted the following: What's with all these deaths? Harvey Cohen was a great magician and an even greater guy. He will be missed.

Since then I received the following from Steve Cohen:  I am saddened to confirm that my good friend Harvey Cohen passed away yesterday morning. Funeral services will be held on Monday, at Riverside Memorial Chapel, at 10:00AM. Harvey was a dedicated card magician with many contributions in Apocalypse and other Harry Lorayne books. He was also one of the kindest and most giving men I've ever met.

Our heart goes out to all those that knew and loved this wonderful magician.
