Welcome to the Magic Newswire photo gallery. It
seems only fair that I start out with a picture of
me if I plan to post others.
Yep... thats me, your host, "the Wizard." Believe it or not,
the Boy Scouts have (or had) a merit badge for
"Magic". Here you see me... in one of only two
pictures that I know of in which I am conjuring.
In this one, I am working hard to earn
that badge in Scouting. Growing up in South
Florida at a time when our craft was very popular,
I was lucky enough to take lessons from the now
legenday Paul Diamond of "Paul's Magic & Fun Shop" in
Fort Lauderdale, Flrida. In any case... now you have met
your host to the world of magic at "The Linking
Page" and "The Magic Newsire"... on with the show.
Below you will find links to pictures and
other magic related memorbilia that I have
received over the years. I'll continue to add more
images as I can. In the meanwhile... enjoy the
show!

BLAINE: Buried Alive
Event Invitation
In 1999, David Blaine, then a relative new-comer to the scene of magic extraviganzas, staged a "Buried Alive" stunt along the lines of an effect that Harry Houdini had brought to the attention of the public imagination in spite of never having performed the effect himself. This image is a scan of the "invitation" that wa ssent to those in the magic press . It is little more than an ID card sized scan of the poster with a copy of the handwritten invitation on the back.

COPPERFIELD
Autographed Photo
Shortly after that picture of me was taken at at a boy scout camp, I attended a performance of David Copperfield at the Fox Teater in Atlanta.
At that time. David would make a personal appearance in the lobby of the theater signing pictures until everyone had left. Admittedly, you had to hang out
for awhile before he'd appear and there weren't all that many people that would stick around, but hey... I was young.. and into magic .. and DC was my hero at that time. What else could I do?
